Basingstoke Astronomical Society

Welcome to the Basingstoke Astronomical Society website

The Basingstoke Astronomical Society (BAS) was founded in Basingstoke, Hampshire in March of 2004. It's aims are:

The society holds regular meetings at the Cliddesden Primary School in the village of Cliddesden (map), on the outskirts of Basingstoke, where members bring telescopes and binoculars for the viewing of objects (weather permitting).

On this website you will find details of the society and its diary of events. If you are interested in astronomy please feel free to come along. You will be made welcome.

The Society currently has around 58 members most of whom gather on the 4th Thursday in each month for a sociable evening of discussion over refreshments.
