Chris Lintott's Visit to BAS
	Dr Chris Lintott, co-presenter of the BBC Sky at Night programme, executive editor of the magazine of the same name, Director of the Galaxy Zoo project and co-author of the book BANG! A complete history of the universe, visited Basingstoke Astronomical; Society on October 25th. Chris spoke on the subject of the book and gave a very informative and entertaining lecture full of personal research, opinions and anecdotes. He answered questions and consented to sign members copies of the book BANG! during coffee. He was also very willing to chat informally with members.

John Stapleton, who has known Chris since he first became interested in astronomy gave a personal vote of thanks. After coffee Chris consented to an any questions style interview with John Stapleton. Questions asked included subjects such as owrking for Sky at Night, ambitions achieved, current and future research, his time at University and much more.

	Attendance for this meeting stood at 56 and included visitors from Guildford, Newbury, Farnham, HAG and Derby AS's. The evening was inspirational and enjoyed by all. Chris has indicated that he would be willing to visit again in the future.
