Practical Meeting October 11th 2007 (Season 4)
Venue: Cliddesden Primary School

Open:  The Chairman and Treasurer were visiting the local Brownies group so the Secretary opened the meeting.

Taking advantage of a clear sky, all present were treated to a view of Comet Holmes.  The above officers arrived and the meeting reconvened inside with coffee.

The topic of discussion was “OTA’s”.  John Stapleton explained how different optical assemblies work and what their advantages are.  He then led a discussion in which several members tool part.

Coffee:
Further observing of the comet, Mars, M31 and the Double Cluster was attempted but the high wind made this difficult.

Admin.:  The Secretary has received no new correspondence.

What’s Up?:  The Secretary repeated the what’s up for November.
