Draft Minutes Meeting October 26th 2006-11-01 Venue: Cliddesden Primary School Open: Informal meet and greet Matters Arising: The members were reminded to book places for the forthcoming planetarium visit and for the Christmas Dinner. What’s Up?: Sky notes presented by Dave Worley. Change to advertised programme: As the sky was clear the meeting reconvened on the field. Six telescopes were in use and members and visitors were able to observe a number of objects including Comet Swan, M13, M57, M31, planets Uranus and Neptune, double stars Albireo and Epsilon Lyrae and the Double Cluster. Members then returned indoors for coffee and cake (supplied by Brendan Shaw). Correspondence: The Chairman read Guy Hurst’s Editorial from the current issue of The Astronomer magazine and recommended the magazine to observers.
