Extra Meeting November 15th 2007  (Season 4)
Venue: Cliddesden Primary School

Open:  The Chairman welcomed all members and visitors.

Minutes: The draft minutes of the previous meetings have been published on the website.

Apologies: Guy Hurst.

Health and Safety: The Chairman described the fire exits and fire drill.

Main Item: Dr Paul Roche Director of the Faulkes Telescope Project talked about the establishment of the project and its aims.  He described projects already being undertaken and explained that the project was aimed at schools and required amateur involvement.  He then described plans for the future of the project as part of a global network of telescopes.  This was a very entertaining and inspiring evening   Questions and discussion followed.

The Chairman thanked the Speaker.

Coffee:

Admin.:  There was no important business requiring attention. Dates of next meetings were confirmed.

Observing: The sky being clear members telescopes were employed in viewing Mars, Comet Holmes, M31, M42, M1, Double Cluster and other objects.
