Main Meeting October 25th  (Season 4)
Venue: Cliddesden Primary School

Open:  The Chairman welcomed all members and visitors.

Minutes: The draft minutes of the previous meetings have been published on the website.

Apologies: Alan Lorrain, Guy Hurst, Paul Moulton.

Health and Safety: The Chairman described the fire exits and fire drill.

Main Item: Dr Chris Lintott, co-presenter of the BBC “Sky at Night” programme and joint editor of the magazine of the same name, Director of the “Galaxy Zoo” project and co-author of “Bang – a Complete History of the Universe” gave a talk on the subject of his book.  The speaker was both informative and entertaining as well as inspiring, having started as an amateur himself.  Questions and discussion followed.

The Secretary thanked the Speaker.

Coffee:

Admin.:  There was no important business requiring attention.

What’s Up?:  John Stapleton described the sights of the night sky for the coming month.

Item:  John Stapleton, who has known the speaker for many years, conducted an interview and any questions session with Chris Lintott.
